View Full Version : Dump Valve vs. Warranty???

This is probably a question which has been asked hundreds of times, but I just wanted some current opinions on what I should do.

I recently took delivery of my00 scooby, and I'm debating whether or not to fit a dump valve. The only hesitation I have is whether or not fitting one is likely to affect my warranty - does anyone know for sure?

Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Kelvin,

fitting the dump valve on it's own won't do anything notiecable for performance (unless you have a lot more mods and the standard ine is leaking), and it would in theory invalidate your warranty.

Save your money for other mods, or a track day even, as you;ll get much mroe benefit for the money.

Ok, thanks for the response. If I'm entirely honest - it wasn't really a performance mod I was after - I just wanted it for the noise! http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/wink.gif

Thanks anyway, Kelvin. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Get an induction kit. I run a Pipercross, and it's a blast (pun intended). I'll get a Forge recirc. piston style BOV later on...to get that chirping sound. (boyracer in me methinks)
