Just wondered if you guys were interested in a new set of tyres for the sprint series?

I'm looking at a set of x22's.

Thought I'd ask if there's anyone else thinking about buying some tyres because obviously the more there are the lower the price.

I haven't spoken to any companies yet as I wanted to gauge interest. Would be looking to order mid-end of march in time for snetterton.

Just a thought.

Matt

I used Southshore tyres in Blackpool last year, he was at Mira as support, grumpy git but quite reasonable prices.

I see what you mean lol. Had a quick chat with him. Funnily enough he knew what series I was asking on behalf before I even said it.

Last years price was 155 + vat but he's going to talk to Dunlop at autosports and see if he can get a better deal.

I'll give him a call after that.

Well I don't actually think they are in the blue book (unless i'm mistaken) Think this is why Justin had so much trouble last season with his.

I'll ask the question once autosport is over. I'll also try to contact a few other suppliers.

He is alright bud, it was just funny when I went in asking for some 888s, he asked what car I had, told him Scoob and was met with "crap them" :D nowt wrong with saying it how it is ;)

Dunlop cr311 is a list 1B tyre, of which x22 is one of the compounds, which the MSA confirmed was an eligible tyre for my class (A6 roadgoing production). Its just that my main competitor made a very convincing arguement to the scrutineers which meant I couldn't run them that particular day. Once I had a letter from the MSA confirming my side of the argument, I could use them.

Pretty sure the MLR will have a group buy like last year, and would imagine they will get the better prices.

Yup I understand that much Justin, But didn't want to turn up some place and have to go through the bother you did getting evidence trying to convince them etc that they are actually legal.

So are they in the BB then? I don't have a copy.
(chucked last years out and havent got this years yet)

Next daft question is If my thinkings right 220/640R17 should fit ok onto a 7.5" wheel? Ja?

Steven

Blue book is on line Duncan. See first page of rules, link there. 220 will fit on 7 to 9 rims 8 being ideal.
