Hopefully im going to try get into a low 11 sec and a top handling time,Ill see how i do in the sprint's and do a few test days at shakspere.

I did a 10.4 1/4 this year and was out of the points. You need a 9.8 min to score in the 1/4

I loved this when I competed in my Supra in 2011. Im deffo up for this if there is space in the team.

Gives me 7 months to sort my drivetrain issue out, get the ECU checked over for the long runs and get used to the car :)

Remember cars will be selected by discipline, if you look at last years team there are those that are selected just for handling. MLR series will give me a good idea of who's doing what. As for drag then I think the bar will be raised again this year, those R35's are getting quicker ! Although in 2012 we had 4 cars out of the top 5 :) I think 9.5 minimum will be required for drag only machines.

31st December 2012, 10:24
Oh might put my name down still then, for the handling :)

I would do Fud mate.

If all the cars which are being built are ready, there will be a fair amount of competition for places but that is always the case at this time of year. As I know from experience builds often go wrong.

Archie, it becomes a short list come TOTB time usually. The team picked itself for 2012 and there was only one change from 2011 ! More competition can only be a good thing as far as I am concerned so let's hope there are plenty running come end of June 2013.

That's bang on arch.

Good to have a few decent car's in the reserve list :)

3rd January 2013, 15:53

I found this in my DVD collection, had forgotten about!

The DVD is dated 2005, but I think the meet might be a couple of years earlier. Near the end there's an interview with a certain Steven Darley who was not overly happy with the performance of his 2.0litre wagon, but was philosphical about it! Does this give the year of the meet, can't find it mentioned in the DVD itself anywhere, but it looks like there's nothing later than a 03 blobeye.
It features the alledged first road legal impreza 10sec 1/4 mile, by CRD? Looks like things have moved on a bit:D

(Steven I'm sure you've got a copy of this but if not I'd be happy to post it to you)
