welcome to the lotus section.

My background is in building & running race and rally cars. The quickest car to date is a Lotus Esprit Silhouette race car that weighs just 700Kg and has a prototype 5 litre V8 and DG300 gearbox, F1 and F3000 suspension, brakes etc.

look forward to reading your posts http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

John,

How did you get on at Mallory Park today (I think you said) with the Lotus?

Cheers,

Chris.

PS. Did I miss you @ Cadwell on Friday?

Hi chris,
sadly we hit a major problem last night when firing it up for the first time since the engine rebuild, the main oil feed fitting into the block had a hairline crack in it, we couldnt risk running the car with the oil leak and to fix it is an engine out job, which is a major job on a mid engined car.

We are out next saturday at oulton park so plenty of work to do till then.

I couldn't make cadwell, i should have taken your advise and switched everything off and unpluged the phone, i will next time http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/wink.gif

What's on at Oulton this weekend???

I fancy getting a motorsport fix tomorrow, if spectators are allowed in http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/wink.gif

Especially if the weather is going to hold up like it has been the last couple of days

Regards, Simon
