Got my 997 Turbo coming next year though smile.gif

And infact dumped the GT3 for an E60 M5, which was dumped for an R32 Golf, which was dumped for the RS4, which is being dumped for the 997 Turbo tongue.gif

Heres a question for you, Porsche have offered to swap my RS4, for a used 997 Carrera S Coupe while I wait for my Turbo. The S is less power than my RS4 but a pretier car?

Should I do it?

Steve, got to be worth the swap but which car will they give you more money for when you get the turbo next year?

btw, you have to much money to waste & I hate you :D In the carpark at the ring earlier this year you said that you were going to get a car you really like & stick with it. Fat chance smile.gif

Very true.

How familiar the sound of 'Please make a U-turn' becomes tongue.gif

He never has a car long enough to work out how to use the sat-nav!

Well after visiting dealer today, seems he can get me a GT3 for this year. So I've changed my order over for a 997 GT3, hope I've done the right thing! Question is, should I order it in white!

AdamP

I don't think I'll ever understand what goes on in your brain!

Although I would very much like it to go on in mine aswell!

Steve, go for green !! as they say just green no fancy name.."GREEN".....

johnfelstead
4th January 2007, 21:51
Yeah GT3 was a joke, couldn't use it on the roads atall. So how is this one going to differ?

NeVeTaS
4th January 2007, 23:09
I had the 996 GT3 'RS' before.

The 997 GT3 (non RS) can be specced for comfort, it also includes full stability management & traction control, sat nav, hands free telephone, decent sound system etc.

Basically it's a road car for the track, whereas the 996 'RS' was a track car for the road.

Will be no problem using this as a daily drive.

The contrast of white with the black inserts, is perfect.

16th March 2007, 09:28
Thinking about it mate? :D

I'd love to go too, but dunno if the bin will be ready in time.

Maybe just wait till i've had my fun in the lightweight shell and fit the drivetrain to a nice comfortable cruiser....Legacy estate.

An extra 1000+ miles onto my round trip is a bit OTT.
