See that red 360; if I get my hands on him/her I shalt be happy  (excursion onto the grass at Hohe-acht...).

It was good to get a pax lap in the Porker Steve. I hope I didn't shout at you too much ;)

Interesting cars for the w/e were Konigseggggg, Mosler, Wiesman, Lambo, Carrera GT, Viper and a Yaris.

Yellow Lambo is  .

Looked kind crisp, the weather?

When you booking it for next year, Steve?
I'm hoping to do a midweek jaunt and maybe one day of the weekend.

Personally I find the weekdays so much nicer than the busy weekends. Even getting into the car park is a challenge on the weekend.

So I doubt I will ever go back at peak times. It's much nicer for me when it's quite.

So will be booking week dates next year. May include a Sunday or somthing but will probably use that as my travelling day.

Weather was nice. 20C the first day, sunny. Then went down to about 15C sunny and fresh.

No rain

Sounds perfect. The RA is a nightmare in the wet, just doesn't like corners at all.

Give me a shout when your thinking of booking up then bud, as she will be tagging along, but has to put in her holidays well early.

Can't wait.

Nice picture's Nev, cannot agree more, with regards to getting some nice clear laps in during the week. Had a tyre blow going through Belgium, not nice going home on the space saver! Simo, thanks for the info about the Michelin P2's might get them for next year.

Hope you all got home safe

regards "MADDOG" :D

nice one steve, how was the Porker compared to the M3 on the ring?

Paul

Porker basically is like being in a scoob as it had 4wd. Handles the same as my old STi just with more power.

I prefer it because the arse doesn't twitch (both on the car and on me)!

Also straight line accelation is much faster.

Feels much more planted on the road aswell. Was cruising at 180+ on the autobarhns and I could have a red bull and a fag at the same time ;)

It's nice to have a manual gear box back aswell

Just wish I was still there!

That's my handsome arm that you can see there :D

Steve parked so frik'in far from the machine that I had to nearly strangle myself to reach it  ;)

PS If you do 153kph in Belgium then they WILL fine you 175 Euros - it would have been a cheap w/e for me with out that. Oh, and I was marched to the nearset cash till to get it :(

NeVeTaS
24th October 2005, 08:02
Ouch! I was on cruise Control set at 220kph through must of Belgium! Best slow it down next time!!

Then again if it's 175 Euro fine no matter what speed your doing maybe worth going even faster ;) ;)

In Sept I got pulled over into a service station by Belgium customs.........to check if I had RED DIESEL in my car.....

Floyd
24th October 2005, 08:54
Steve, if I'd have been doing 1kph faster then the fine is ramped up drastically. Over 125mph and they would have confiscated my car on the spot

Unmarked and hidden trap car on the motorway... You have been warned!

NeVeTaS

Ouch!!!!

OK 130kph through Belgium it is then!

-stevem-
24th October 2005, 09:39
 never knew that

Generally it's wacky races back from my Holland trips through to the ferry as I've inevitably cut it too fine ...

johnfelstead
24th October 2005, 23:11
They started getting hot about speed in france/belgium 2 years ago, i cruise at sensible speeds these days, in the early days it was warp factor 3. :D

Slooby
25th October 2005, 00:35
Tell me about it John, I haven't forgotten the trip out for the Easter 2000 visit, cruising through Belgium at silly speeds, in the wet, assuming that they had a 130kph limit (oh silly me I was reading the wrong ring on the dial occifer)...not the 120kph limit they really had...then on the return trip fixing one of your Westies cycle wings (O/S IIRC) with gaffer tape and a my drift, when the support spar snapped!

Man has my attitude to road speed changed since those days and my little issue in August '02 leading to my visit to see how out judicial sytem works first hand in January '03...
