View Full Version : Pre-TOTB night out

Old Trout
31st May 2005, 11:56
I am very well aware that there will be no chance of actually having a pre-TOTB night out due to final stages (or even early stages) of running in, tuning, fine-tuning or even installation of consumable components such as engines, gearboxes and diffs...

...however if that were not the case hands up who is up for a pre-TOTB night out? Once I have an indication of numbers I can work out a venue - or if this is being organised elsewhere then let me know...

Trout :D

PS If you didnt get the hint please post your interest here...

Yes, saves me organising it :D

I was going to do my usual, but this time suggest we go to the chinese we went to after SSO, which was Mr Chu's in Hull.

Whatever the case, i am up for going anywhere, so long as it doesnt sell JUST spicey food, and it also has beer on tap ;)

TBH, it cant be anymore hectic for me than pre SSO.

Steven - when you say a number have posted via email - can yuo give me an indication of who they are, where and what numbers? Ta :D

I have Robert and Kate as well...

so that is 15 that I can see here

What are peoples preferred venues?

We can go more towards York and go to Maxis who can easily take a party of that size and there is adequate parking.

More towards Hull - Bengal Brasserie in Market Weighton

Or even in Hull (which is a long way from York ;) ) and go to the place Steven suggested.

Or very close to home (well my home) we can takeover the Gold Cup in Low Catton and so have more choice than Indian or Chinese.

All other variations of the above are welcome.

Answers on a postcard please...

Closer to yours / york would be my preference smile.gif

Hull is a little too far IMHO.

well I am at a will young ( :( ) concert at kenwood in hampstead until late on the sat night.

Chances of me getting there in decent time are minimal.

think I will be driving up early sunday morning with rob and others.

although i could late the night before and find somewhere to sleep up north.

Andy and Barbara ?
6 Paddys :D (possibly)
8 Belgians (probably)
Plus potentially 6 more

Leaving this one to you guys to sort.

There has been a minimum of 18 the last 3 times.

For those that are unaware, and stopping at mine, York is 19 miles away, as is Hull.

Any news Trout?

Can i just say, and please dont take this the wrong way, I will NOT be attending if its Indian food.

I have tried my hardest to become accustomed to it over the last few years, and at one point i thought i had, but sadly i was wrong.

The last 3 times, i have been quite ill, so i will not be trying indian food ever again.

If all else fails, we can do a barby at ours again.

Steven

Will be working on potential venues this week...

...the main issue seems to be that they are polarised between Hull and York with not much in between.

Am trying to avoid Indian Steven even tho there is one just over the road from you now ;)
