I'M CURIOUS ABOUT THE CLARKSON VIDEO 22B. WHICH VIDEO IS THIS?. COULD IT BE THE 22B AS DRIVEN BY CLARKSON IN HIS 'UNLEASHED ON CARS' VIDEO. COULD SOMEONE CLARIFY. I'VE NOT SEEN A 'TOP GEAR' VIDEO WITH A 22B.

COULD SOMEONE LET ME KNOW WHEN I SAID I WAS GOING ON THE NORTHERN MEET. I'D LIKE TO LET MY 22B KNOW IN ADVANCE SO IT CAN GET ITS BEAUTY SLEEP!! SOUNDS LIKE FUN THOUGH.

Hello all,
A two month old Nissan Skyline GTR34 V-Spec with 340 BHP and 18" BIG Nismo wheels,(apparently there are only 100 of these cars in EUROPE) and a Porsche 911 Carrera (but he's also got a Ferrari, has to decide!!), and another series mcCrae. looks like we could be getting a good cross section of some of the best Hot Metal on the market.
My car is the dark green MY99, with MTR in the windows, courtesy of my 8 year old son Matthew Timothy (MTR).
Cheers

Glad to hear there's a meeting so close to home and only 3 weeks after I've picked up my MY98.

Will be coming loaded with questions and possibly baby, very jealous hubby and mother-in-law.... You can't win 'em all!!

Decided to leave baby with mother-in-law, which only leaves jealous hubby. Any problem with him bringing his Lancia Stratos replica? 3L V6 Alfa engine, McLaren F1 brake discs, Delta Integrale Brembo 4 pots etc, etc. It'll keep him quiet! http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/wink.gif

Gilly,
I've no problem about that, in fact I would be delighted. While you'r at it can you muster up a Renault Alpine A110, Mk 1 Ford Escort Twin Cam, Mk 1 Escort RS1600, Mk2 Escort RS driven by Ari, Lotus Super Seven, Lotus Elan Sprint (RWD), Ferrari Dino 246, and Peugot 205 T16 Four Wheel Drive Group B rally car, again driven by Ari of course, then with your Stratos (couldn't you just whip in a V12 Ferrari engine in for the weekend), my life would be complete.

Hello all,
Last reminder for tomorrows meet, you need to be heading EAST ie TOWARDS LEEDS, on the M62, to be on the correct side of the services. A chapwith a Ferrari 348 has said he's up for it tomorrow, as well. Let's have a good day.

Hi all

It was a good turn out, but only some of the cars turned up.
The ones that did are,
1 Series McCrae, thanks Conny,
1 22B, thanks Paul,
1 Westfield Seven, Thanks John,
1 Evo 6, Forgot your name but thanks,
and a smattering of WRX's and WRX STi's, and lots of Scoobys. Thanks to all who attended, and I think I can safely say a very enjoyable timne was had by all. As Bruce Forsyth would say, a much better audience than last time, very friendly.
A big thumbs down to individuals who attempted to dissuade people from attending, and missing a belting drive out. Actions like those are ultimately self defeating, as once an element of doubt is placed in peoples minds about their, and their cars safety, attendencesd will drop , FOR ALL FUTURE PUBLIC EVENTS, irrespective of who organises it. Th ePolice who are based at Birch didn't give us a second glance, and the T5 on the tops, didn't bat an eyelid, but I bet the Silver 5 door driver did,He He, and as for the MAX POWER types (are they the ones that tart up their cars with different coloured indicator lenses, as one of the performance enhancements, SIDC members do that don't they, takes all sorts), they didn't materialise, and if they had, they could have joined in. I used to run a Fiesta XR2 for 8 years, K&N, Janspeed, home ported head, lowered and stiffened suspension, I won't bore you with the spring rates I used, etc, john Felstead used to run a RWD Sierra Sapphire Cosworth, real MAX POWER stuff. Car enthusiasts take on all forms, usually to whatever their budget allows. If any of you non attendees found yourselves out of work, and Scoobyless, I would still talk to you if you turned up in a tuned up Minivan. How many of your Scooby 'FRIENDS' would still take your calls.
Gilly hope you get the Stratos box fixed easily. You'r mothers face in the back of the car was a picture.
Cheers

MTR,
Thanks for organising yesterday's run. I think we'll be using it for a test run for the Stratos. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Dave and his rallying mate have now come to the conclusion that it's just normal transmission noise which is made worse by the fact that the car hasn't been trimmed yet! Hopefully we'll be bringing it to the next get to together. (Without mother-in-law, who had to be given large dose of sherry when we got back home - Sprog 1 loved every minute).
Cheers again for organising it, great day.
