Another meet is being planned for the South West area. Mark Underwood has offered to come along to demo someone's car, so we need somewhere with an undercover area. Any idea's anyone?

Hi Nick
How much will Mark charge to use my car to demo? http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/smile.gif
Same price you mentioned in the Star or will it be done cheaper as it is a demo? http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Will I have to buy the kit and pay for the demo? http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/confused.gif If so this could be around £200. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/eek.gif
I donít mind purchasing the kit but will have to find someone to use it for me. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/cool.gif
Mark may well want to use a newer car. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/mad.gif Mine has had to hard a life with the one polish I gave it 18 months ago. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/redface.gif Also it has only seen Charlie Brownís car wash. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif You must admit the car is still shinnying perhaps itís the wax Charlie Brownís use in their £4:95 wash. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/tongue.gif
The condition of the cars paintwork makes no difference to the trade in price on your next Subaru. The dealers around here only ask how many miles has it done, what year, and what extras have you got. They donít even look at the car. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/mad.gif
Now if you want to keep the car or sale it to a private buyer thatís different. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/cool.gif

Hi Bob

When Mark does a demo he doesn't charge. HOWEVER....... he tends to do only half the car in a demo....!!!! http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/tongue.gif

Perhaps he could do the bottom half then I tend to have problems when bending down. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/smile.gif
The sudden rush of blood goes to my head giving me a bright red face. Problems arise when standing upright, no blood in head and down I go again.
See you soon

http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Well what he tends to do is half the car - meaning for instance, the left side... half the bonnet, half the roof... you get the idea?

Older cars are no problem as the products can make the car look like new again. Also dark colours & reds can demo better than, say silver.

So how do you get the waving smiley???

If we do another Exmoor dash - it should be before Easter - afterwards the traffic gets too heavy.

Bob you could get him to do one side this time and the next time he comes you could get him to do the other side http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/wink.gif
Cheers Dave

Hi Nick,

So this is where you've all been.

How about I have a word with Tileys to see if they'd let use the showroom ?

I'm up for another Exmoor dash, anyone else ?

Steve.

Yes Steve. Have a word with Tileys. It's hardly worth me mentioning it to the amazingly mean lot at Atkins. We could invite the Swindon lot over & maybe even the Welsh crowd. Perhaps Tiley's could put on a BBQ? Could be good marketing for them. I suppose we could pay for the BBQ.

An Exmoor IV sounds great to me. However due to current circumstances, I would need a later start time. I'd suggest that April 16 is the latest we can go without a load of traffic around Exmoor.

Hi
Yes Iím up for a leisurely trot across the moors. http://www.apc.net/judygal/walkingsm.gif
Dave/ Good thinking about the polishing but I think I would rather pay and have it all done at once. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hi

We'll talk more about another SW Meet during the Exmoor drive. Hopefully Tileys (Subaru dealer) may be able to help.
