30th April is cool http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/cool.gif . Who set up the last meet at Childerditch? That seemed a good place... perhaps if we asked nicely, they'd set another one up... As I reckon the pub would like to know if they are about to be invaded by 50 odd Scoobies. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Alternatively, I could have a word with the Halfway house on A127 at Brentwood. I think the RSOC have used them before (have witnessed large numbers of Cossies decend on the place) so probably would not be adverse to large numbers of Scoobs doing similar... http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/wink.gif

Last time I went past to Half Way House two bikers were being thrown out of the window, whilst covered in petrol... http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/eek.gif

I've heard it's a nice place to go for a beer though. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Meet starts at 11:00am at the Greyhound, Childerditch on Sun 30th April http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

From London, travel up A127 towards Southend. After you pass under M25, look out for Esso garage on left. Do immediate left after garage and head to end of lane. At end turn right and the Greyhound is on your right.

Many thanks to Pete Croney for sorting out the details.

Hi guys...

I might attend.. but it depends on finding accomodation...

I down at Eastbourne on Saturday... and meeting up with my mate Pilchy in the evening at/near MK..

So I need to sort out somewhere to stay Saturday night.

Basically I'm running my car in.. so the mileage will help http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/smile.gif

Anyone got any ideas of where to stay for the night ?

Cheers,

J.

Also, before that turning (or after it) depending on what way you are going, is a turn off for 'Dunton Research and Engineering centre', down there go down this small exit sign posted 'Laindon'.
Thats a great road!! So, when you get tired of the Greyhound..... http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/tongue.gif

Guys,

Don't forget NOT TO BUY PETROL on the 30th April - there's a national protest action agains high petrol prices (I read about it on the ScoobyNet BBS). The objective is to raise the profile of the issue and generate some media coverage.

It might work. Might not. But as one of my favourite sayings goes - "You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take." So give it a shot! http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hector is now out of the vets but a bit weak!
If he is not ready for a day out I will take Daisey on her own!

So there will be 2 22Bs there http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/tongue.gif

15% chance of rain!
As the radio said this I had my dif rolled half way forward enjoying the general skid pan after a hot few days came to a bank holiday end with the downpour.

Still it meant that I did not have to clean the car http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Good turn out considering the weather, the locals in the know drifting in at 12 whilst the rest of us hung arround in the rain from 11 http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/tongue.gif http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/mad.gif http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/eek.gif

Then to make my day Vivienne had taken Hector to the Spitlefields dog show ( I wondered why she wanted me to take Daisey?)

He came first! http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/cool.gif and Daisey was plucked by a judge frome the sidelines, to join in the Staffordshire class. I had arrived too late to properly register having been phoned on my way back to be told what was going on!

Daisey came 3rd ! http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/cool.gif
