I'm thinking of adding the scoobysport midsection to my MY99 (no Link or PPP at present).I currently have their downpipe and backbox.

anyone know if any real benefits to be had,i.e performance gains.I guess removal of cat will make it noisier ?

DZ,

A centre section will make it quite a bit louder. I believe you can order them with baffles to reduce the noise. Performance will increase, although not by much.

Noise will be somewhat more present. Pereformance "increase" in the standard engine, etc. specification will benefit more psychologically (read: very little if at all). However, if you continue improving the car in some seriously influencing aspects, a free flow-non cat exhaust system will be very useful to have for final good results.

hope this helps your thinking.

In my expensive experience........ free flow exhaust and filter are great but only really come into their own when mapped http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/cool.gif

I love BRD but I have also had lots of positive feedback about Power station's unichip http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

On the bench dyno BRD beat their previous record on N. Grists car with 370+ ftlbs of torque with my engine http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ( Had steel internals to handle the 1.3bar)
