View Full Version : Induction Kit Flow Rates

Has anyone ever come across an analysis of Induction Kit Flow rates?

I have seen comparison of filtration capability but an interesting effect of having my Possum fitted is that I now get induction distortion as it is approaching maximum flow - I am sure this is reducing power is there is a brief resonance and max flow is reached - which is now doubt pulsing the air into the engine.

Oh, I have an HKS Induction kit by the way - and although it is a MY99 kit it does not have the flow reducing plate that was fitted to protect the MAF and so is fully open.

Any thoughts appreciated

PS Thanks Bob - it is an experience

I recently fitted an induction kit and took advice from a firm called TAS who prepare Group N imprezas. They used to use K&N, but changed to Pipercross as they offered superior performance to the K&N, and other kits, but are still only the same cost as a K&N!

Pete Croney had a graph done at Prodrive showing his flat pannels were the best http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/tongue.gif

Anders - that made me really LOL

but has he removed the resonater box - 'cos that really slows the air down!
