A further news update on this years Redline TOTB 5, to be held at Elvington Airfield nr York on 30th July 2006.

It's now getting closer to the closing date for all entries (2nd July), which coincides with the final test rwyb day at Elvington airfield. All entry forms must be in by that date, along with payments.

Due to the number of clubs confirmed taking part we are asking all team reps to ensure they get their allocated spaces filled and forms returned for that date, as we do have a reserve list of cars waiting to fill places from other teams should places become available after the 2nd July.

Among the confirmed "big name" entries competing will be the following cars;
Keith Cowie RB Motorsport R32 GTR, Simon Norris Evo, Jun Lemon GTR, Calder Supra, the new Fensport 4wd Celica, Team Ice Subaru, RCM Subaru, Nadine Geary and Joel English Dodge Vipers, Grant Parker AET Turbos Golf Quattro, Martin Hadland Escort Cosworth, EVO400 Lancer Evo, Tim Webster NUR R34GTR, Ron Kidell R32 GTR, Andy Forrest Impreza, Zen Performance Impreza, Lateral Performance Subaru’s and many more ultra quick cars.
Please let us know if you’d like your car included in the next news update!

All the club/group spaces are now allocated for our official team entries, but we do still have spaces for individual cars to compete.

We will be offering competitors the opportunity to attend site on the 29th July after 3pm for pre-signing on and scrutineering to save time on the day of the event.

As mentioned in our last announcement, the top speed event will now be held over a standing mile, and the spectator viewing area is to be re-introduced at the top speed trap. Full details of the scoring changes for points and other minor updates will be sent to club reps in the next week.

Spectator tickets are now on special discount offer to competing clubs and groups until the 1st week in July, at just £12.50 per person, for club members only. Please get in touch if you'd like to organise a club/group buy on entry tickets.

All other spectator tickets are priced at £15 advance until the 5th July, and then at £20 on the day per adult. Children under 16 are foc with parent/guardian.

Interesting that in the 'publicity' line up there are 5 Imprezas and only 4 Skylines and 2 EVO's.
That either means the scoobs are getting faster ...or.... just common :D

Can we have a Scottish team for next year Chris ?
Keith, Dee and myself all get victimised on these BBS's for being so much faster than the English people, it's just not fair and something should be done about it :D
