hi
i have got a broken driver side sturt top mount. does anyone know where i can get these apart from subaru dealers ? the dealers are wanting 77+vat each ?which is a bit excessive i think for what it is http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/eek.gif

i found some spherical eccentric bearings strut top mounts made by TAS in damon tweeks motor sport 2001 page 232. has anyone tried these before they are made of Aluminium and they allow for quick caster and camber adjustements. i suppose i wouldn't mind a little more caster at the front.

thanks in advance.

Prodrive Group A topmounts work fine on my car... 5 degrees castor makes a bit of an improvement over 2 or 3. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/smile.gif

HKS Top adjustable pillowball mounts cost 217.38 incl. VAT per pair and not 250 either for a pair, let alone for a single one.

Sam,

They came with the ex-works suspension I am testing... one careful owner... a certain Mr Burns. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/smile.gif

Sam,

The price I advised was not "my quote". That is the official, published suggested retail price as per HKS Europe. Any of their appointed outlets should be able to supply at that price (or lower depending on how desperate for business they are).

PS. Feel really sorry for Moray - someone always manages to talk him into fitting things on his car that, ultimately, either do not work at all or work much worse than they should. Sorry, forgot to notice his word "testing" so there is still hope. No malice indtended, honest!!)
