I've got a couple of track days booked.

I'm a track day newbie so I doubt I'll be pushing too hard.

I haven't got the dosh for a full brake upgrade, so any recommendations on cheapish precautions/upgrades to make sure the brakes can cope? I'm not really looking for the ultimate braking power, I just don't want to knacker the ones I've got.

I've got a MY99 5Dr.

Thanks

Simon

I have mintex 1155 pads and bremsport grooved discs - cost me 170 (now c200) all in. Took them on track (knockhill) last weekend, no fade, great stopping power, minimal wear.

APs or Brembos will be better, but at 1500 they should be

Brembos http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/smile.gif

Have a look at Silverstone report for reason why but basically I'm not Stef & 260 track miles later, no fade, no cracking, no juddering & 1 happy customer. Just done my first set of pads tho' & it's making a bit of a noise from the pad backing rubbing on the disk carrier.

I know that its the full Monte but Pete C will easily sell your 4-pots for 350 so only 1100. Bargain http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/smile.gif
